Lieutenant Colonel Dr Tongkarn Kaewchalermtong is a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and holds several prominent roles in the field of intelligent transport systems. He serves as Chairman of the Transportation and Logistics Working Group for the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations and Vice President of ITS Thailand.

Kaewchalermtong is actively involved in international committees, including the International Programme Committee of the ITS World Congress and the International Academic Committee of the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum. He has also served as a consultant to the Transport Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
