Thomas Fabian is Chief Commercial Vehicles Officer at the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) in Brussels, a role he has held since January 2024 after more than five years as ACEA’s Director Commercial Vehicles. He represents Europe’s truck, bus and coach manufacturers at EU level, focusing on the decarbonisation of a fleet of over six million heavy-duty vehicles. His work spans key policy areas including CO2 standards for trucks and buses, charging and hydrogen infrastructure under AFIR, carbon pricing through ETS2 and the Weights and Dimensions Directive, all of which shape whether zero-emission trucks and buses reach the market at scale.
